Collinguo — it is a common fallacy that all higher education systems grant non-contingent foreign language credit for strong performances on standardized tests (e.g., AP or SAT II).
The frequent uncomfortable truth is that universities instead offer their own foreign language exams to independently gauge a student's foreign language proficiency.
These students, however, frequently underperform, having neglected these studies over the summer months. Collinguo offers students an opportunity to prepare for these tests and so perform appropriately, be placed correctly and ultimately earn the advance credits deserved.
Test exams are currently available in Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese and German.
